Rock al Lagh: Alternative Waves Fest

Pro Ponte Tresa and the Synesthesia Association are excited to announce the first edition of the Rock al Lagh Alternative Waves Fest. The festival will feature four bands and take place on Saturday, the 24th of August, in the beautiful Ponte Tresa, a Swiss district of Tresa, just 100 meters from the Italian border. The concert will be set against the backdrop of the historic center and the stunning Lake Lugano.

Get ready for:

• Sofsky: Headliners of the night with their mix of indie, post-punk, shoegaze, pop, and rock. Sofsky has a unique sound that ranges from modern atmospheres to the soundscapes of the '70s, '80s, and '90s, reminiscent of bands like Joy Division and Slowdive. They have three singles, an album, and an EP released, with numerous live dates in Switzerland and Italy.
• Noise in myself: An Italo-Swiss band from the Lugano region. Founded by Enea Maina, the band has released their self-titled debut album and the concept EP "Answers...". With the entry of the vocalist Diane Lee last summer, their alternative/progressive metal sound has evolved with new songs that are already in their setlist.
• Kemas: A band from Lombardy that pushes creative boundaries, starting with '90s prog metal and incorporating elements of metalcore and djent. They have released four singles from their upcoming album “DeusXMachina”.
• Korja: A Ticino-based alternative rock band with '90s influences ranging from Foo Fighters to Metallica. They have released an album, a single, and are working on their second full-length album.

Notes

• The evening will kick off at 6:30 pm with a DJ set, and the live performances will start at 9:00 pm with Korja opening the night. There will also be various stalls and booths: records, tattoos, trinkets, bars, grills, and two food trucks.
