Multiple Identities

Giving voice to contemporary society that increasingly aims to combat categorization and free itself from labels and conformism, GAL - Lugano Galleries of Art Association is pleased to present from May 16th until 19th, in the historic building of Lugano "Asilo Ciani", the exhibition "Multiple Identity", a historical-artistic investigation and comparison on the various and different identities, on creative intelligences, intellectual coincidences and stylistic equivalences that make up one’s own self or a collective.

Without any limitation in medium and technique, the exhibition analyzes both the identity development of a single artist along with personalities of different generations who investigate the same theme, and multiple identities that have constituted -or still constitute today- an art collective.

Free and accessible to the general public, the exhibition aims to offer through the use of individual works a stimulating and engaging experiential path, able to arouse the curiosity and intellect of the viewer to question themselves and investigate their multiple identities.
