The puns and double-entendres of Mistaman's lyrics are as technical as Italian rap can get: unmistakable writing that has been refined over the years in the service of lyrics that are increasingly focused on reality, far from the stereotypical rapper but with solid roots in hip hop culture. Mistaman, which represents a point of arrival for many aspiring mc's, draws on a vast, sometimes sci-fi imagery that is not necessarily that of the street and the ghetto. In a musical scenario where clichés are repeated, each of his tracks still manages to shine with originality, making him appreciated by his growing fan base and respected by his peers in the Italian rap scene. Dentro la mia mente' ('Inside my mind') is Mistaman's new recording effort, an album that aims to be an opportunity for research and renewal for the Treviso rapper. Starting with classic and well-structured instrumental bases, Mistaman demonstrates an increasingly mature and profound writing style. It is an introspective work produced by DJ Shocca, one of Italy's most acclaimed beatmakers and producers, who created the framework. The album also features the collaboration on some tracks by Ze In The Clouds, who put his signature on more melodic and organic sounding arrangements and sounds.
