Massagno InPista

To the delight of adults and children alike, the terrace of the Massagno Primary School will come alive with various Christmas proposals for the upcoming festivities, offering a synthetic ice rink accompanied by a rich calendar of activities and events from 22 November to 29 December 2024.

The rink will be inaugurated on Friday 22 November at 5:30 pm with a welcome greeting, an ice show with Swiss Tour Ice Show, and an aperitif to follow. In the following days there will be several attractive proposals, including: meetings with players of the Hockey Club Ambrì Piotta (Wednesday 11.12, 5.30 pm) of the Hockey Club Lugano (Thursday 12.12, 5.30 pm) and of the SAM Basket/Spinelli Massagno (Thursday 19.12, 5:30 pm); curling tournaments on Fridays at 4.30 pm (registration on site); Unihockey on the rink with SAM Unihockey (Saturday 7.12 4:30 pm) and Mini basket (Thursday 19.12, 4.30 pm); giant chess on Sunday 1 December with Massagno Scacchi; a concert by the Massagno Music Mini Band (Sunday 8. 12, 3.30 pm); the traditional Santa Lucia market organised by Pro Massagno in collaboration with the associations (Saturday 14 December, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm); a number of shows and workshops for children in collaboration with the Circo Errante Stabile (Saturday 30.11 and Sunday, 22.12, both at 3:30 pm), Christmas-themed creative workshops with Candy Duarte (Saturday, 7.12 and Saturday, 21.12, both at 4:00 pm)’; not forgetting the visit of St. Nicholas on the evening of 5 December and the concluding snack offered on Sunday, 29 December.

Participation in the various events, shows and workshops is entirely free of charge and no pre-registration is necessary. As far as the gastronomic offer is concerned, the refreshment point remains available during the days and opening hours of the track, offering drinks and snacks suitable for the season.

Timetables and practical information

The track will be open to the public at the following times: Thursday and Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Please note that both access to the rink and skate rental are free of charge. For those who wish, normal ice skates can also be used.
