Malgorzata Chomicz. Identità incisa

The first exhibition of graphic works organised by the Associazione Amici dell'Atelier Calcografico (AAAC) of Novazzano this year is dedicated to the engraver Malgorzata Chomicz. This marks the fortieth of its kind since its foundation. The internationally renowned artist divides her time between her hometown of Olsztyn, where she has been full professor of engraving techniques at the University of Warmian and Mazury, and Perugia, where she has an engraving studio.

The exhibition includes around fifty small and large format engravings dating from the 1990s to the present day. The works, representative of her main cycles, are executed using traditional intaglio and relief printmaking processes (etching, aquatint, dry-point, mezzotint and linocut), sometimes with multiple impressions and coloured backgrounds.
