The cycle race in the heart of the Swiss Alps

The cobblestones, the curves, the steel bicycles, the woollen jerseys, the shoulder-strap tubulars, the cage pedals, the laughter, the toasts, the flavours, the fragrances, the specialities. The legendary Tremola San Gottardo is a plunge into an atmosphere of times gone by. 

The setting for this cycle race in the heart of the Swiss Alps: the historic road over the Gotthard Pass: the Tremola, one of the most beautiful and spectacular roads for cycling enthusiasts. The great champions of the cycling epic have passed through here: Hugo Koblet, Ferdinand Kübler, Fausto Coppi... 

To take part in this non-competitive, non-time-trial pedal race, you must get on a vintage bike, wear vintage clothes and be ready to pedal merrily from Airolo to the Gotthard Pass. To reward your efforts: a typical Ticino dish and a musette with local specialities.
