The summer face of the LAC

"LAC en plein air" will be returning for the seventh time from Thursday 4 to Saturday 27 July. Curated by Saul Beretta, the festival will enliven the long summer evenings, hosting eleven concerts with free admission, focusing on three core themes: it begins with a tribute to the world of tango with "Tango loves Jazz" (4 – 6 July), then explores the roots of blues in collaboration with the Events and Congresses Division of the City of Lugano, organizer of the 34th Blues to Bop festival, with From "Blues to Bop" (18 – 21 July), and culminates with a section dedicated to the Spanish music scene with "The other side of Flamenco" (25 – 27 July). The absolute stars of this year's festival will be fifteen artists from different generations and backgrounds, united by their rigorous approach to musical research, including Antonella Ruggiero, Karima, and Ginger Brew. They will be appearing in Lugano alongside musicians and ensembles from different origins and cultures, as well as soloists from the Orchestra of Italian Switzerland (OSI) on two occasions, who have been invited to participate in exclusive concerts for the festival.
