In its first three editions, this competition was a great success and allowed young pianists to confront the most demanding demands of the Chopin repertoire, experiencing days of emulation and exchange. It is also an opportunity for them to meet, through the members of the jury, musicians of the highest level and to receive advice and encouragement from them.
There are three categories according to the age of the pianists; prizes are awarded and the winners perform in a final concert. The jury, chaired by Martha Argerich, comprises established professional artists who are familiar with Chopin's works.
