International Museum Day - Villa dei Cedri Museum

An annual event celebrating the role of museums as institutions at the service of society and its development. A day with an unusual, diverse and participatory offer to satisfy everyone's curiosity on the theme of our relationship with nature.

11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The jungle enters the museum
Immerse yourself in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest where the works of photographer Pepe Atocha were born.

Sam Prada from the Amazon Rainforest Conservancy Northern Peru will be present to introduce you to the jungle and its riches with a 3D experience.

2-5 p.m. In search of interconnections and forgotten affinities
Laura Giudici awaits you in the park for an en plein air lounge.

Linked to the reflections proposed by the exhibition "Underground. Ecosystems to explore", the salon set up in the garden of the Museum will open a space for meeting and dialogue to creatively and collectively imagine new ways of interacting with people, other forms of life and the natural environment. The living room will be enlivened by words, books and games, which will serve as inspiration to create one's own affinity booklet and, for those who wish, to share their experience in the Museum's exhibition spaces and garden.

2-4 p.m. The Mushroom speaks
Meeting and workshop with Marion Neumann.

Filmmaker Marion Neumann shares her research during a workshop on surprising mycological practices. Participants will be welcomed into the exhibition space with a series of objects: mushrooms, cultivated mycelium, questions, research and the unknown... What if mushrooms could heal and radically change our society? An unusual look at cultivation and environmental healing with pleurotus ostreatus mushrooms. Bring a container: we will share the substrate!
