About the performance

Alice Bossi presents a theatre piece for young audiences that reinterprets Andersen’s well-known fairy tale from a contemporary and feminine perspective.

At the centre is Caterina, a young empress raised under the control of a magical mirror that dictates her appearance and behaviour according to rigid ideals of perfection. On her birthday she receives a magical dress that forces her to confront fears and insecurities.
