Gospel & Spirituals - JP & The Soul Voices

For 30 years, Free Green Music has been organizing six Gospel concerts every December with the best groups from the international scene. For 2024, concerts will be held in Losone, Bellinzona, Locarno, Airolo, and San Bernardino.

On December 12, 2024, at 8:45 p.m., the group JP & The Soul Voices will perform at the Teatro Sociale in Bellinzona.

The ensemble was founded in Florida in 2006 by Pastor John Polk under the name The Voices of Life. After their acclaimed performances at the famous House of Blues, they adopted the current name JP & The Soul Voices. The group has collaborated with established artists like Dorinda Clark-Cole and Jovanta Patton, inspiring JP to tour across the United States. With a rich repertoire blending traditional and contemporary Gospel, the Soul Voices also explore various genres, covering all facets of African American music history. Leader John Polk is a charismatic entertainer with a deeply engaging voice that is sure to captivate the loyal audience of Teatro Sociale.

Guest: Intantocanto Choir
Founded in Bellinzona in 2007 and directed by maestro Giovanni Bonariva, this mixed choir is well-regarded in Ticino for its vibrant international repertoire, including folk, pop, and singer-songwriter pieces, accompanied by their maestro on the keyboard.
