Festa della Madonna del Carmelo - Sfilata Milizia Napoleonica Ponto Valentino

The Confraternity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is also organizing the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Ponto Valentino from July 18th to 20th, with the traditional Napoleonic Militia.

Like every year, this year too, for the town festival, around fifty soldiers wear uniforms according to their affiliation, taking part in the various religious functions that take place over the two days of celebrations.

PROGRAM

Saturday 18th July

  • 5.30pm: joyful ringing of the bells
  • 8.30pm: drummers' parade

Sunday 19th July

  • 8.00am: diana - drummers' parade
  • 8.15am: first meeting, Company ready to depart
  • 8.30am: Holy Mass for the Militia
  • 9.45am: second meeting, Company ready to depart
  • 10.00am: Solemn Holy Mass * 3.00pm: third meeting, Company ready to depart
  • 3.30pm: vespers, procession with the participation of the Traditional Militia and the Confraternity of the Blessed Virgin of Carmine of Ponto Valentino, Salve of Honour

Monday 20th July

  • 8.15am: diana, drummers' parade
  • 8.30am: first meeting, Company ready to depart
  • 9.00am Holy Mass for the deceased, procession to the cemetery
