Espina – Silvia Paradela

“Drawing is thinking with your hands.” This sentence captures the spirit of the exhibition Espina, in which Silvia Paradela presents her most recent works on paper.

Through the depiction of the Crown-of-Thorns (Euphorbia milii), a plant that is both common and highly symbolic, the artist explores the themes of pain, resilience and transformation. Lines, colours and marks become a language of meditation and a tool for understanding, telling the story of a wounded humanity that is still capable of blooming.
