On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 November, the Bibi Torriani National Tournament will be held at the Faido ice rink. Six U14 teams, totalling around 120 youngsters, will compete for victory in this important competition.
The tournament is named after Torriani, who was a Swiss ice hockey player, sledder and coach.
As a player from 1930 to 1950, he won 18 editions of the Swiss Ice Hockey Championship, collecting more than 800 goals in around 500 official matches; during his career he took part in eleven World Championships and two Olympic Games.
On Saturday the matches will start at 10 a.m. until the last game at 8 p.m.; on Sunday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
