52nd Great CCMFT Mineral and Fossil Exhibition & Market

The Club dei Cercatori di Minerali e Fossili Ticino (CCMFT) is delighted to present the 52nd edition of the market-exhibition dedicated to minerals and fossils from all over the world. This unique and well-established event represents the most important event of its kind south of the Alps.

The exhibition, which started many years ago and is constantly evolving, aims to promote and spread knowledge in the field of palaeontology and mineralogy. Once again this year, we will do our utmost to offer visitors of all ages the opportunity to admire the natural jewels created in the millenary folds of the rocks.

Thanks to the presence of numerous Ticino, Swiss and international exhibitors, the event will offer a wide range of minerals, fossils and artistic creations with semi-precious stones and jewellery; each stand will therefore display finds, pieces and creations with their own peculiarities, expanding an already rich choice.

The event is an unmissable occasion for both enthusiasts and the curious, who will be able not only to admire these treasures, but also to purchase them, perhaps finding the perfect gift for friends or family.

To complete the event, the club will set up some thematic showcases with pieces from special collections. Two showcases of great value will be presented this year: the first will be a tribute to our long-standing member Delio Stefana, a passionate seeker who passed away this year and whose dedication left a rich collection. The showcase will display the most precious pieces that were the fruit of his tireless research.

The second showcase will be dedicated to botanical fossils, highlighting those organisms that formed the basis of the food chain and are now the subject of paleobotany studies. Visitors will be able to admire extraordinary finds such as leaves, pine cones, branches and other fossilised plant elements from millions of years ago. These pieces, despite their extreme fragility, have come down to us through a long geological journey.

The market exhibition, as every year, will be held in all weathers.
