Giro Media Blenio

The 41st edition of the Giro Media Blenio renews a tradition that began in 1985. During the Easter holidays, on the roads of the Blenio Valley, this spring classic is run. A heartfelt and fascinating race, which attracts numerous elite athletes, but also many enthusiasts, from various countries: a thousand athletes challenge each other every year on the captivating route that crosses an area of great beauty.

For the public, this is a unique opportunity to admire athletes of great value up close, but above all the elegance of the African "gazelles". The runners from the African highlands, who parade on the Blenio roads year after year, are often beginners who then manage to carry on a great career. And it is often the Africans who are the true dominators of the race.

Running enthusiasts can try their hand at the 10 km or 5 km races.

Children and young people can experience the beauty of running by covering various distances based on age (from 600 m up to 1.9 km).
