Ticino Musica Festival

The Ticino Musica Festival returns to the some of the most beautiful places in Italian-speaking Switzerland with a 27th edition that, through the sound of music, will lead enthusiasts and onlookers to discover suggestive locations in and around Ticino.

The inaugural event - the première of Domenico Cimarosa's opera "The Secret Marriage", which will be held in the Aula Magna of the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana on the evening of July 18 - will lead off a program that includes more than 70 events: opera performances (Bellinzona, Locarno, LAC, Novaggio, Sorengo, Magliaso), solo and chamber recitals, concerts by great and young masters, winners of international competitions and ensembles in residence. The soul of Ticino Musica, i.e. the musicians who participate in it, is divided between artists and teachers of international standing along with young musicians on their way to becoming professionals. The comparison between these two categories of performers, in a context blending educational and artistic experience, allows the public and the participants themselves the opportunity to experience an unforgettable musical experience at 360°.
