The Ticino DOCG Music Festival

The biennial event of the DOCG Ticino Music Festival is reaching its eighth edition. To celebrate it, it offers 9 concerts -distributed among Canton Ticino, Graubünden and Italy- with the special involvement of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana (OSI) as well as some 20 soloists.
The festival opens with four symphony concerts with the Orchestra of Italian Switzerland -two of them in Brissago and Montagnola- scheduled from August 10 to 13. The concerts will be accompanied by the performance of seven soloists, featuring pages by Mozart, Cimarosa, Villa-Lobos, Sollima and García.
From August 14, the extraordinary musical journey of the Ticino DOCG Festival will continue with a series of chamber concerts in the Lugano, Mendrisiotto and Bellinzona regions, which will involve composers and voices of local and international caliber.
The closing of the Festival will be accompanied by a fascinating musical experience on the peak of Monte San Salvatore. From 05:45 a.m. on Sunday, August 20, oboist Silvia Zabarella and her orchestra will lull you with their notes from the darkness of night until the radiant sunrise.
