Church of San Silvestro

Inside the cemetery, situated on a small promontory where there appears to have been a castle, is the Church of St. Sylvester, mentioned as early as 1483 and probably built on a pre-existing building.

Of the primitive church, the present building retains the capitals with bas-reliefs (possibly from the 13th century) on which the columns of the portico added in the 19th century rest. The interior has three naves with a rectangular choir.

The Baroque frescoes are the work of F. A. Giorgioli of Meride and depict various episodes from the life of Pope Sylvester and Emperor Constantine. The pulpit is from 1595.
