Church of San Martino

To the northwest of the town, near the motorway, stands the Church of St Martin. Built in 962, the present Romanesque building from the 12th-13th centuries was erected over the remains of three churches, the oldest of which is assumed to date back to Carolingian times.

The Lombard Romanesque nave decorated with blind arcades has been preserved intact, while the rectangular choir, along with the other parts, is much later and dates, like the interior furnishings, to the Baroque period.
