Cycling to discover the region - Cycling in Mendrisiotto to discover its traditions, places and flavours.
A beautiful bike tour among cultural places, grotto, vineyards, lake and mountains. The route will allow you to discover food and wine delicacies of the region and to live authentic "momò" experiences.
The starting point is the Baumgartner Gallery, an excellent exhibition of private and model collections of various kinds, here you will meet our guide who will give you your flaming red bicycle!
Your first stop is a light breakfast and a dip in one of the funniest traditional games, bowls. Once back in the saddle of your bike you will continue to Brusino Arsizio where you will take the cable car that will take you to the top of Monte San Giorgio where you will enjoy a splendid view of Lake Ceresio while you enjoy a delicious aperitif from the panoramic terrace of the Hotel Serpiano.
You will continue your journey to the magnificent village of Meride surrounded by vineyards where you will delight your lunch in a typical grotto.
Finally you will head to your last stop, a winery in the region where you will end the day in beauty with a toast!

How to get there: The Baumgartner Gallery is easily accessible by train. Mendrisio railway station is just a few steps away. Alternatively you can reach it by car, there are parking spaces reserved for the museum (for a fee).
