Walk of Fame Locarno

Discover the Locarno Walk of Fame: the walk of the stars in the heart of Locarno, just a stone's throw from Piazza Grande. Set in the charming surroundings of the Rusca Gardens (Giardini Rusca) and close to the famous “Toro” sculpture by Remo Rossi, this special place invites visitors to linger and explore.

The Locarno Walk of Fame brings together the bronze handprints of great musicians who have visited Locarno on the occasion of Moon+Stars. The story began in 2008, when the first bronze plaques featuring the handprints of four artists who appeared at that year’s festival were installed along Largo Zorzi.

Over time, the number of musicians who wanted to leave a lasting mark of their visit to Locarno grew, leading to the development of a new project, which was launched in 2022 with more than 80 handprints. Today there are already over 100 – and more are added every year. Among the most recent names are Gabry Ponte, Peter Fox, Kygo, KT Tunstall and Samu Haber.

The totems placed along the avenue of the Giardini Rusca are each made up of 3 rotating cubes (50 x 50 x 50 cm), offering a playful way to discover the works created over the years by sculptor Gianmarco Torriani.

The Locarno Walk of Fame is freely accessible to the public. Stroll through the gardens and take a photo with your musical idol's handprint!
