Once again this year, the Swiss Society for Music Pedagogy will offer the 5th Music Festival in Arbedo-Castione.
The concerts will take place on 14 April 'Un Palco all'Opera', 12 May 'Non solo Swing' and 15 December 'Advent Concert'.
Programme 12 May - Not Only Swing
On Sunday 12 May at 5.30 p.m., on the Piazza del Centro Civico in Arbedo or in the event of bad weather in the Sala Multiuso, there will be a concert dedicated to all mothers, proposed by the SSPM - Italian Language Section, as part of the Arbedo-Castione 2024 Music Festival.
The protagonist will be the Last Station Big Band, conducted by Maestro Gilberto Tarocco. The concert will be enriched by a special guest, the well-known Locarno trombonist Danilo Moccia, who has won prestigious awards, such as: best soloist at the San Sebastiano Jazz Festival (Spain,1983) and Estival Jazz Contest Lugano (1986). The Swiss magazine JAZZ'N'MORE voted him best trombonist in 1997, 1998 and 2000.
Admission to the concert is free.
