Via Crucis

The most attractive and picturesque place of Biasca is framed between the architectural complex of the church of S.Pietro and the characteristic ensemble of Santa Petronilla, with its waterfalls, the Romanesque bridge and the oratory, crowned by the chestnut grove along which the Via Crucis route develops.

In the past, the devotees of Biasca in procession went there two Sundays a month. It is the most popular practice of Christian piety, which consists of passing in front of 14 stations, meditating on the Passion of Christ.
