A special itinerary dedicated to all those who, despite a motor disability, want to return to outdoor recreation, to practice a sport.
Starting from Hotel Serpiano, the new circular route introduces you to the splendid nature and landscapes of Monte San Giorgio, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Easily passable with special three-wheeled bikes, it can also be used by people who want to experience something different.
The 5 km long route runs primarily through the forest and can be covered safely in about 45 minutes.
A shared project born thanks to the fruitful collaboration of the Regional Tourist Organization with the Serpiano Hotel and the Paralympic athlete of Stabio Murat Pelit, former founder and president of the Ti-Rex Sport association. The Ti-Rex Sport association was created with the aim of stimulating the greatest number of people with motor disabilities to practice unthinkable sports.
Tips
The special bikes can be rented from spring 2021 at the Hotel Serpiano. For those who wish to try it for the first time, it will also be possible to be accompanied by a guide.
