Grotto Canvett

Right in the heart of "Ca d 'Varanzén" the construction of Grotto Canvett dates back to the end of the 19th Century. The present building respects the original design of the grotto. In 1948 it has been opened for the first time to the public; in 1991 it has been completely renovated.

The grotto, surrounded by plants and flowers, has a large terrace with a beautiful view of Malvaglia and its valleys, and a small wine cellar where fresh meats, cheeses, vegetables, wines and soft drinks are stocked. Upstairs, a cozy dining room with fireplace, used in spring and autumn, when the days get shorter and the temperature outside does not allow the use of the terrace.

The menu offers mainly traditional dishes prepared with products from the Blenio Valley, giving preference to organic farms and their vegetable garden. All dishes are homemade.
