After starting by Lake Lugano in Ponte Tresa, ride uphill on a dirt road through the woods. The route continues uphill and downhill through picturesque villages. Outside the town centres you'll see lots of modern architecture, but in the heart of the villages you'll feel like you've taken a step back in time.

Between Beride and Castelrotto you'll follow part of the «Traces of Man» themed hiking trail, where buildings and relics provide an insight into how people used to live in this region.
The Tresa river, which forms the border with Italy, leads back to Ponte Tresa. Its banks provide a valuable habitat for plants and animals. At the end of the tour, Lake Lugano in Ponte Tresa is a wonderful place to relax.
