Accomodation
Zafferano Guesthouse is a lovely self contained garden apartment in a family house based in Tremona.
The apartment, which accommodates up to four people comfortably, consists of a very large double bedroom, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, induction cooker) and a living room provided with a sofa bed that accomodates two people comfortably and a flat-screen TV, all tastefully decorated leading to an outside patio area. At your disposal is also a baby crib.
Bed linen, bath towels and a hairdryer are provided. Parking available at the property.
Surrounded by a large lawn, its the ideal place for a holiday with children.
Neighborhood
The apartment is based in Tremona, a small village on the hillside of Monte San Giorgio UNESCO's World Heritage Site.
Tremona has become well known for its archaeological excavations wich have uncovered the unique preserved remains of a hilltop settlement of a medieval village.
The Monte San Giorgio is counted among the world's most important deposits of marine fossils of the Middle Triassic (247-235 milion years ago).
You can start your daily excursions through woods and hillside vineyards directly from the house. During your excursion you can stop to have lunch in a typical Grotto, where you can taste the delicacies of the territory.

Discover the breathtaking naturalistic beauty of the Monte San Giorgio, Valle di Muggio, Park of Breggia Gorge. Monte Generoso which peak (1704 metres asl) can be reached from Capolago by rack railway. Travel through time at the Monte San Giorgio Fossil Museum.
And for the thrill seekers don't miss the awesome mountain biking trails.

Approximately 5 minutes walk from the bus stop and 5 km from the trainstation of Mendrisio. The nearest point of interest: Como Lake (15 km), Lugano (24 km), Milan (60 km), Varese (20 km).
