The 2024 edition of Easter in the City kicks off on 29 March
To animate the city centre, its streets and squares during the Easter period, a programme with entertainment and activities. An occasion to celebrate Easter and the arrival of spring together.
Once again this year, Easter in the City will transform the centre of Lugano into a cheerful stage with its numerous stalls where you can buy traditional articles and products, while the pedestrian area will be enlivened by various street entertainments suitable for young and old.

Highlights
Easter market
- 29.03 – 01.04, 10:00 am – 7:00 pm, City center
The traditional Easter market will be held once again through the streets of downtown. An opportunity to find and buy handicrafts, typical local products, tasty treats and gift ideas.
Easter treasure hunt
- 29.03 – 01.04, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, Parco Ciani
A special Easter treasure hunt for children of all ages from Friday to Monday, starting at the Darsena of Parco Parco Ciani. The various stages along the route will offer yummy little surprises to those taking part. A chance to put yourself to the test.
Last departure at 16:30, cost CHF 2.- per child for the game kit (while kits last).
Duck Fishing
- 29.03 – 01.04, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, Fountain Piazza Manzoni
Are you ready to fish for ducks and discover hidden treasures? The young participants, accompanied by their parents, will have the opportunity to catch the greatest number of ducks within a set time. Some of them may hide special prizes.
The cost per round is CHF 2.–.

Street entertainment and a travelling toy library with Cooperativa Proposta 80. Handmade wooden games for all the family and creative workshops using recycled materials.
Adventures in safety: children's activities with the Lugano Police
- 30 and 31.03, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, Piazza Manzoni
Saturday 30 March, the Lugano Municipal Police will organise an itinerant gymkhana, an obstacle course provided by the TCS to train the skills of young users. Bikes will be available on site for older children (aged 9 to 12), while younger children can bring their own bikes, remembering to wear a helmet too! On Sunday 31 March, the Lugano Municipal Police will be present with their vehicles to show children the equipment and tools they use in their work, offering information on road safety and answering questions from both children and their parents.Project organised by the Lugano Municipal Police.
