The 2021 edition of Easter in the City kicks off on Saturday, 3 April.
The programme includes a fun Treasure Hunt specially for children and the traditional market that will bring the lakefront to life. The city will also be decorated with pretty Easter decorations. An opportunity to spend Easter together, respecting all the rules, and a way to open the warm season as safely as possible.
This year the traditional Easter market has moved to the lakeside to ensure greater social distancing and allow people to circulate better. Here you can find and purchase handicrafts, typical local products, tasty treats and gift ideas offered by the 40 market stalls. The market will be open from Saturday 3 to Monday 5 April, from 10:00 to 19:00.
Piazza Manzoni will host a spectacular installation with colourful decorations and large eggs: the perfect background for taking souvenir photos.
A special Treasure Hunt has also been organised for children at Piazza Manzoni from Saturday 3 to Monday 5 April from 11:00 to 17:00. This is the first stop along the course, which will test families with fun puzzles to solve and offer the young treasure hunters tasty surprises along the way. In order to take part in the Hunt, it is necessary to register on the my.lugano.ch website, take the booking code with you to the square and present it at the "starting blocks".
