Spazio Officina in Chiasso presents the exhibition Manlio Monti. Graphic activity and its genesis.
The artistic event is part of the "genius loci" theme, conceived to give space to artists who have worked and still work with their own atelier on the territory of Ticino. The exhibition presents the research on graphic technique and its dissemination carried out by Manlio Monti, an engraver from Ticino with an atelier in Locarno.
The entire collection of Club 365 prints will be on display, a project created by Manlio Monti in 1998 to promote the knowledge and diffusion of chalcographic engraving; the works of more than 60 artists are exhibited at Spazio Officina.
Also visible are the collections called black folders as well as several books and artist's books printed by Edizioni Il Salice (founded by Monti in 1987).
The exhibition is curated by Manlio Monti and Nicoletta Ossanna Cavadini.
