INSIDE LIVING TRADITIONS

INSIDE LIVING TRADITIONS is an artistic, multisensory and itinerant installation created by the Museum of Leventina. INSIDE LIVING TRADITIONS is a place for reflection on one's own cultural heritage and that of others. INSIDE LIVING TRADITIONS aims to involve young artists, giving them the opportunity to express themselves in a very special multimedia space.

Through this multisensory installation the Museum of Leventina promotes and enhances particular aspects related to the living traditions of our regions. It does so without giving in to the nostalgic veil of a look only at the past. On the contrary, the way in which the contents are presented is absolutely modern thanks to the most recent technologies used within the installation. The look is also contemporary and is that of two young artists who interpret with video and audio the theme proposed by the Museum of Leventina (which we will leave to you to discover). The challenge for the artists was to set their own expressive creativity adapting it to the space and technologies of the multisensory space INSIDE LIVING TRADITIONS.

Admission is free and the installation will be open to the public daily (7 days a week) from 10.00 to 18.00 from 20 July to 31 August 2019.

The inauguration is scheduled for this Saturday, July 20 at 18:00 in Castelgrande. From August 31, 2019 the installation will start at different stages of a tour that will touch the whole of Switzerland.

The first artists to exhibit throughout 2019 and part of 2020 will be Elisabeth La Rosa and Lazy Marf.

Elizabeth La Rosa is a graphic designer and photographer based in the Canton of Ticino.

In 2013, feeling the need for new inspirations and experiences, she left for San Francisco, where

took the photograph that gave rise to the need for a refuge, where, for a moment, suspend thoughts and let the sensations re-emerge away from the world in frantic movement. The idea of a multisensory exhibition space was also born. His inspiration led the Museo di Leventina to develop the idea by creating the space: INSIDE LIVING TRADITIONS.
