From 1st December until Epiphany the city centre will once again be transformed into a bright village, filling the festive period with cheer for both locals and tourists alike, in full compliance with the safety regulations in force. The city will host the holiday loved most by families in a magical atmosphere, among Christmas lights and decorations.
It wouldn't be Christmas without the traditional market huts, just over 50 of them this year, which will be open from 5 to 24 December.
From 1 December children and adults will be able to admire the magnificent illuminated Christmas tree - the symbol of Christmas in the city - in Piazza della Riforma. While Parco Ciani will be transformed into an enchanted trail, with shimmering lights, wonderful decorations and Christmas lights.
Throughout the entire Christmas period, Lugano will become a culinary crossroads thanks to the variety of food on offer in local restaurants, several of which will be offering special menus for the holiday period.
