The Orchestra della Svizzera italiana (OSI), directed by its principal conductor Markus Poschner, will reconnect with its public in two special concerts to be performed in Lugano on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August 2020, at 9 pm in Piazza Luini in front of LAC.
The programme will include the famous Symphony no. 9 From the New World of Antonín Dvo?ák, chosen in a survey as the public’s preferred work for the relaunching of the OSI, and the overture to the opera William Tell by Gioachino Rossini.
Both concerts form part of the LAC en plein air initiative in collaboration with Lugano’s LongLake Festival. Full Covid-19 safety measures will be in place. The concert of 28 August will also be broadcast live by RSI ReteDue.
