Wine cellar Mondò

The Azienda Mondò, born in 1995, it is a family firm pushed from a tradition and from a true passion for the vineyard cultivation. Particular attention is given to a non intensive exploitation of the vineyards, and to a workmanship the more possible respectful of the nature according to the directives of the Integrated Production.

The love for the earth and the accurate management of the ground and the vineyards are the natural condition to get healthy and good grapes, with all the necessary characteristics to be turned into good wines. In these years, our wines have received merits in Ticino and in Italy. This, besides being motive for pride, it is for all of us a stimulus to continue in the intent to transform this marvellous fruit of the earth, the grape, in a wine of Quality.

The winery is located in Sementina (Ticino, Switzerland) and cultivates approx. 30 plots of land on the hilly territory of the right bank of the Ticino river between Bellinzona and Locarno and are located at an altitude between 220m a.s.l. and 320m a.s.l..

On the 30 plots, which make up about 6.5 hectares of land in a steeply sloping hilly area, we try to cultivate varieties that adapt well to the climatic conditions. However, the care of each vine and its grapes requires constant and essentially manual care because the configuration of the landscape allows a very light mechanization.
