Monte Tamaro links 80 km of mountain bike trails. The half-asphalted, half-gravel forest road leads from Rivera to Alpe Foppa after a 10 km ride. It is possible to stop for a short break at the middle station, where the Adventure Park Snack Bar offers refreshing drinks and snacks.
Is 10 km just a warm-up? No problem! From Alpe Foppa follow route no. 362 towards the summit of Mount Tamaro, which offers a spectacular view of Lake Lugano and Lake Maggiore. This route leads to Arosio and from there back to Rivera. Those wishing to extend their ride from Arosio can choose from several variants that also lead to Ponte Tresa via Cademario or Sessa.
It is possible to reach Alpe Foppa by cable car and start the trail from here. The Monte Tamaro cable car can transport bikes weighing up to 25 kg.
There is a maintenance station and bike wash at the cable car station. Alpe Foppa has a E-Bike charging station (free of charge) and an additional maintenance station.
