Extending over more than 1000 km2, with a central zone of almost 200 km2, Parc Adula is candidated to be the biggest national park in Switzerland. It offers surprising geological formations and highly varied vegetation.
Meanwhile, the Locarnese Region National Park extends from the islands of Brissago to the Walser village of Bosco Gurin. The varied nature and climate, which changes from subtropical to Alpine, are typical of the Locarnese National Park.
