A cyclist’s paradise

Ticino offers something for cyclists of every level: be the take-off in Ascona, in Mendrisio or in any other place in Ticino: everybody will find something for his taste.

The most courageous take the challenge to cross one of the passes. Those who prefer the downhill part can reach the top of the mountains with a cable car or a funicular. For those who prefer a more relaxing trip there are many cycle paths along shores of lakes and rivers. The network of cycling tracks covers over 175 kilometres throughout the region of Ticino. Many of them belong to the axis between north and south of the project “Cycling in Switzerland”: from Airolo on the south foot of the Gotthard down to Chiasso on the boarder with Italy.
