The start is about 200 meters from where the aerial cable car arrives in Cardada in the direction of Cimetta. This route is especially suited to Nordic walking. At the chairlift departure, follow the signs and ascend the wide stony path. A little further ahead, turn left and find yourself immersed in a pleasant forest. This first section is nearly flat and continues for more than a kilometer before it crosses the paved road and continues in a coniferous forest. At the small votive chapel make a sharp right. Continue along a small dirt road followed by a long stretch on a narrow path that winds through the slopes of a pasture until you reach Cimetta. Before heading back, visit the geological observatory a circular structure with a red line that symbolizes the Periadriatic Seam. The descent to Alpe Cardada starts on a wide but steep path. Enjoy the view toward the north-east and of the mouths of the Ticino and Verzasca Rivers. At Alpe Cardada turn right and continue the pleasant walk toward your starting point. After crossing a ski-lift, turn left and shortly thereafter reach your point of departure.
