Grotto San Michele

Since 2011, the Scuola Specializzata Superiore Alberghiera e del Turismo (SSSAT) in Bellinzona has been running the catering and banqueting activities at Castelgrande.

Our aim is to create a space for practical and learning activities for students attending the hotel management section.

They are offered the opportunity to gain experience outside the school environment by being in direct contact with customers.

The Grotto San Michele awaits you with its fabulous outdoor terrace and characteristic vaulted hall, amidst the picturesque walls and vineyards of Castelgrande with a panoramic view of Bellinzona.

You will be welcomed by a cuisine that expresses the typicality of the territory, rediscovering traditional Ticino dishes, accompanied by courteous and personalised service.    

The Grotto San Michele is quoted by the gastronomic guides Gault Millau with 15 points, Michelin, Guide Bleu with 7/10, Falstaff with 86/100 (up to 30 guests) and Swisswine.

Among the proposals you will find dishes with TICINO regio garantie raw materials and medieval cuisine according to Maestro Martino's recipes.

Discover our daily themed weekly lunches, proposed from Tuesday to Friday, designed for those with a short lunch break.
