Swiss Mill Day 2024

The Swiss association of the Friends of the Mills (ASAM) organizes every year the Swiss Day of the Mills, which takes place the following Saturdays of the Ascension. During that day in the whole Confederation the mills open their doors to the visitors. This national event represents an important part of the job developed by the ASAM for the public. In the past there have been over 25'000 visitors at the demonstration every year.

The first day was held on May 26 th 2001 and 62 workshops have participated. The demonstration, which has been unexpectedly successful, has derived from the careful organization and the efforts of the founder of the ASAM Walter Weiss and his team.
