Vinicola Carlevaro SA is a family wine business based north of Bellinzona, on the border with Arbedo. It has been managed since its foundation by winemaker Gian Piero Carlevaro, who carries on a tradition that goes back three generations.
In its constant strive for excellence, over recent years the company has made major investments in a new wine cellar with modern equipment and stainless steel tanks. It has expanded and renovated the bottling and storage areas and the old cellar has been fitted out for wines aged in barrique.
Since 1982, the firm has significantly ramped up its use of Ticino grapes, bought from over 200 growers in the county.
