The church, which is located on a rocky spur on the right bank of the Morobbia, has Romanesque origins; it was modified with the construction of a Baroque choir (XVII-XVIII century).
On the façade there are traces of a fresco of the Madonna on the Throne (15th century). Inside the frontal in scagliola from the workshop of Pancaldi and dating from the mid-eighteenth century.
