Scarcely any other region has so many contrasts within such a
small area.

their chestnut tree forests, olive groves and vineyards, to the
parklands of the glittering lake shores. And who could resist a
cappuccino on Ascona?s lakeshore promenade or Locarno?s
famous Piazza Grande, or after a spot of window-shopping in
Lugano? Complete strangers greet you with a friendly "ciao".
